This is the perfect Gion and Higashiyama tour, known for being crowded and busy, you'll get to escape the crowds and experience the ideal balance between famous attractions and amazing secret locations. You start by wandering through the geisha district of Gion, following your guide through narrow laneways as they share stories and insights into geisha culture. Then you'll head into Kyoto's most famous park, where you'll find street food vendors and a beautiful shrine often used for events. Next we escape the crowds and discover a huge, dramatic temple, usually missed by most tourists and more impressive than many of the common attractions. Then, begin exploring the historically preserved streets of Higashima, and visiting a temple thats renowned for its beautiful garden, private bamboo forest, and traditional matcha teahouse. Lastly, we head towards the most famous temple in Kyoto, Kiyomizudera, for stunning views and incredible architecture.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that sometimes plans change and you may need to cancel your Hike Master Japan experience. Here is everything you need to know about our cancellation policy: Cancelling a confirmed booking: When cancelling a confirmed booking, your eligibility for a refund depends on the timing of your cancellation. - When cancelling a booking more than 30 days before the scheduled tour date, you will receive a full refund, minus a 10% payment processing fee. - When cancelling between 30 - 15 days before the tour date, you will receive a 50% refund. - When cancelling 14 days or less before the tour date, you will not receive a refund. - If an experience is cancelled by the host, the guest will receive a 100% refund. Reducing the number of guests on your booking: If you are reducing the number of guests on a booking, please note that this cancellation policy will apply. Should the removal happen less than 14 days before the tour, you will not be entitled to a refund for the reduced number of participants. Rescheduled bookings: If you need to reschedule the booking, this can occur without penalty so long as the original guide is available to accept your new booking. If it's within 14 days of the scheduled tour date, and the original guide is unavailable, but a different guide is available, there will be 20% fee to compensate the original guide. If no guides are available, then the standard cancellation policy applies.
